Cheese Sausage Pizza with Cherry Peppers

This cheese sausage pizza with cherry peppers is perfect for an easy quick dinner. We love making pizza on Friday nights while watching a fun movie. Usually by the time Friday rolls around we are ready make something quick but still has a lot of flavor. To make this really really easy to buy the individual crust like a Boboli crust, stone fried artisan crust or other crust that are available at the local grocery store

It’s so much fun to make homemade pizza. Other homemade pizzas we love are Chicken Cordon Bleu Pizza, Mushroom 4 cheese Pizza, Shrimp Scampi Pizza, Pesto Pizza, BBQ Pizza and More

Cheese sausage pizza with cherry peppers

The steps to make this cheese sausage pizza with cherry peppers are so easy.

First start to preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Then start to cook the sausage in a saute pan. We use spicy Italian sausage links. Remove the sausage from the casing or cut the sausage into chunks. Cook it completely takes 4 to 5 minutes.

While the sausage is cooking get the sauce ready. No need to make homemade pizza sauce. We like to buy a jar of pizza sauce then add additional spices to the sauce. This is a fun tip to give the pizza more of a great flavor. Again this is an easy way to elevate the pizza sauce. Additional garlic powder and oregano to the pizza sauce. And if you want a really spicy pizza mix in some Habanero pepper to the sauce

For the cheese we added mozzarella, gorgonzola and grated parmesan cheese. To make this easy buy the already sliced mozzarella cheese. Prepare the cheese by slicing the mozzarella, crumble the gorgonzola cheese.

Now build the pizza. Spray the bottom of the crust and sprinkle on some parmesan cheese. For another fun flavor boost sprinkle on some chunky salt on the bottom of the pizza crust with the parmesan cheese. Place the pizza crust on a cookie sheet. We like to line our cookie sheets with foil. This cuts the time for the clean up!!

Spread the pizza sauce on the dough. Sprinkle on the sausage, Gorgonzola cheese, cheery peppers (we used fresh for this one but pickled cherry peppers work also) and then top with the mozzarella cheese.

Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust to golden brown on the bottom. Slice and ENJOY!!!!

Ingredients

2 Individual Pizza Crust

8 Ounce Italian Sausage – Spicy

1 Cup Pizza Sauce

1/2 teaspoon Oregano

1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder

1 1/2 Ounce Gorgonzola Cheese

3 Ounces Mozzarella Cheese

1/2 Ounce Parmesan Cheese

1 Habanero Optional

Instructions

Preheat Oven to 400 degrees. Cook Italian Sausage
8 Ounce Italian Sausage – Spicy
Slice or shred the mozzarella cheese
3 Ounces Mozzarella Cheese
Spray the bottom of the Pizza Crust. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on to the Crust. Place crust on baking sheet cheese side down
1/2 Ounce Parmesan Cheese, 2 Individual Pizza Crust
Add oregano, garlic powder and chopped habanero to the Pizza Sauce
1 Cup Pizza Sauce, 1/2 teaspoon Oregano, 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder, 1 Habanero
Spread the pizza sauce on to the crust
Place cooked Italian Sausage on the pizza
Add mozzarella cheese to the pizza
Add the crumbled gorgonzola cheese to the pizza
1 1/2 Ounce Gorgonzola Cheese
Place the sliced cherry peppers on top of pizza
Place pizza in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted
